Staff figures at ElringKlinger (GB) have been consistently positive over the years and we pride ourselves on our loyal, long-serving employee base. Having achieved our plan to double our turnover to £26m by 2016, we are continuing to grow and are proud to say we have created more than 100 new jobs since 2013 for a wide range of people from experienced engineers to school leavers wanting an exciting career in the automotive industry, which supports the local community regeneration plans via which the local council is aiming to achieve 14,000 new jobs by 2025.
The company’s commitment is not only to the industry and the customers it is working with. Managing director Ian Malcolm recognises the forthcoming shortages of engineering resources within the region in particular, and has been investing in developing these skills in the North East. ElringKlinger (GB) staff have been working with a number of local schools to promote engineering on a wider scale and encourage young people to consider it as a career path. The company currently has more than 30 technical engineering apprentices and graduate trainees.
