Fork Lift Driver /Servicehand-
Reporting to the Goods in Team Leader, your primary responsibilities include the coordination of forklift truck driving duties and the general replenishing of production materials, housekeeping and cleaning duties across the factory. You will also be responsible for the collection and supply of amenities and materials in line with the production requirements. You must ensure that all 5s standards are maintained to a high standard and will be required to provide production duties as and when this is required on site.
Moreover, you will be responsible for ensuring that you conform to the Company procedures including Health and Safety, Environmental, Cleanliness and Housekeeping (5s). There will also be a small amount of computer work in the SAP system. But All relevant training will be given.
You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience driving a range of fork trucks (e.g. including 8 Ton counterbalance) as well as motorized pedestrian FLTs within a busy internal manufacturing / warehouse environment. This can at times be a physically demanding position as most of the materials in this area are 2-4 meters long.
You should hold a relevant functional skills qualification (Maths & English) and ideally hold a relevant Level 2 NVQ qualification (e.g. Distribution & Warehousing; Performing Manufacturing / Engineering Operations). You must have a good level of communication and be able to keep calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to use your own initiative and ensure safety is paramount.
This role is required to work over a three shift pattern. Weekends/overtime will be dependent on business needs.
Salary: = £18,673 per annum (£9.71 per hour)
*£90 per week top up for each week of nightshift
